God Remembered

"Then God remembered Rachel, and God listened to her and opened her womb."  (Gen. 30:22)

HOW beautiful are the words "God remembered" found throughout the bible. They are so precious; when it says God remembered Noah and those who were with him in the ark; and how He remembered Abraham and sent Lot out before overthrowing the land; and how He remembered Rachel and listened to her cry and opened her womb; and how He remembered the groaning of the children of Israel in the land of Egypt; and how also He remembered Hannah and opened up her womb. How beautiful it is when God looks down and remembers our cry and hears our groaning. How beautiful it is when God said to Hezekiah that He saw his tears and He heard his prayer. How beautiful it is when God remembers our tears for they are not all forgotten but are kept in His bottle. May this encourage us to go to Him in our time of need and distress for He will surely remember us. In the book of Psalms it says that He remembers us in our lowly state. Let this be an encouragement to us that God will indeed look upon our affliction and remember us and will not forget us.

"Then those who feared the Lord spoke to one another, And the Lord listened and heard them; So a book of remembrance was written before Him For those who fear the Lord And who meditate on His name. “They shall be Mine,” says the Lord of hosts, “On the day that I make them My jewels. And I will spare them As a man spares his own son who serves him.”" (Mal. 3:16-17)
