VERSES TO ENCOURAGE YOU TO PRAY
GOD IS ABLE TO DO FAR ABOVE WHAT WE ASK IN PRAYER OR IMAGINE
"Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us," (Ephesians 3:20)
NOTHING IS TOO HARD FOR GOD
"Then the word of the Lord came to Jeremiah, saying, “Behold, I am the Lord, the God of all flesh. Is there anything too hard for Me?" (Jeremiah 32:26-27)
"‘Ah, Lord God! Behold, You have made the heavens and the earth by Your great power and outstretched arm. There is nothing too hard for You." (Jeremiah 32:17)
"And the Lord said to Abraham, “Why did Sarah laugh, saying, ‘Shall I surely bear a child, since I am old?’ Is anything too hard for the Lord? At the appointed time I will return to you, according to the time of life, and Sarah shall have a son.”" (Genesis 18:13-14)
IF GOD DID NOT WITHHOLD HIS MOST PRECIOUS POSSESSION (HIS SON), WILL HE WITHHOLD ANYTHING GOOD FROM US?
"He who did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him up for us all, how shall He not with Him also freely give us all things?" (Romans 8:32)
CHRIST WANTS US TO ASK IN HIS NAME
"“And in that day you will ask Me nothing. Most assuredly, I say to you, whatever you ask the Father in My name He will give you. Until now you have asked nothing in My name. Ask, and you will receive, that your joy may be full." (John 16:23-24)
THE FATHER LOVES US
"In that day you will ask in My name, and I do not say to you that I shall pray the Father for you; for the Father Himself loves you, because you have loved Me, and have believed that I came forth from God." (John 16:26-27)
IF OUR EARTHLY FATHER KNOWS HOW TO GIVE US GOOD THINGS; HOW MUCH MORE OUR HEAVENLY FATHER
"“Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened. Or what man is there among you who, if his son asks for bread, will give him a stone? Or if he asks for a fish, will he give him a serpent? If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give good things to those who ask Him!" (Matthew 7:7-11)
