Who is your Head?

The Pope?

The Pope is Dead

Pope John Paul II - the 264th Pope

"Also there were MANY priests, because they were prevented by death from continuing." (Hebrews 7:23)

Or Christ?

"But He [Christ], because He continues forever, has an unchangeable priesthood. Therefore He is also able to save to the uttermost those who come to God through Him, since He always lives to make intercession for them. For such a High Priest was fitting for us, who is holy, harmless, undefiled, separate from sinners, and has become higher than the heavens; who does not need daily, as those high priests, to offer up sacrifices, first for His own sins and then for the people’s, for this He did once for all when He offered up Himself. For the law appoints as high priests men who have weakness, but the word of the oath, which came after the law, appoints the Son who has been perfected forever. Now this is the main point of the things we are saying: We have such a High Priest, who is seated at the right hand of the throne of the Majesty in the heavens, a Minister of the sanctuary and of the true tabernacle which the Lord erected, and not man." (Hebrews 7:24-8:2)

Who is your Head?  The Pope, who is just a man or Christ, the Son of God?  Do you dare trust your never-dying soul to a man or to Christ the creator of your soul?  Do you dare follow man who is fallible or Christ, the sinless, perfect one?

Christ the True Head of the Church

"And He [Christ] is the head of the body, the church, who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead, that in all things He may have the preeminence." (Colossians 1:18)

"And He put all things under His feet, and gave Him [Christ] to be head over all things to the church, which is His body, the fullness of Him who fills all in all." (Ephesians 1:22-23)

"For the husband is head of the wife, as also Christ is head of the church; and He is the Savior of the body." (Ephesians 5:23)
